Great Job on the PRT last month, this month will be the last chance you get to complete it. You must have a completed PRT to be part of the program and attend any training.
Information on upcoming events and our Annual Holiday Banquet are in this newsletter, please make sure you read everything and respond accordingly.
This is our last drill aboard the Ships and there will be NO OVERNIGHT. If you are going to the Acorn run please read the details below on report time etc.
Medical Exams may be no more than 1 year old, if your child is due for a physical please make sure you have a new medical exam filled out and brought to drill. If your child does not have current medical information on file they will not be able to participate in drill, trainings and can be terminated from the program. This also goes for their ID needing to be current or the same outcome will happen.
Sea Bag List
REMEMBER, even if it is not an overnight drill, you are still required to have a sea bag with the necessary contents.
Meals are $15 per cadet for the weekend.
Please make sure you have your money.

Remember each and every one of you is our best recruiter. If you would like to bring a friend/neighbor/relative who is interested in joining, let LCDR J. Pawli know in order to pass along the information about the program to them.

Acorn Run Saturday October 5th – Sunday October 6th
Location: Genesee County Parks & Forest Interpretative Center Located at 11095 Bethany Center Rd, East Bethany, NY 14054
Report Time: 0930
Dismissal: Sunday October 6th at approximately 1200 – 1230
This is an overnight event and is considered drill. Your child has signed up for this event. If they cannot make it for any reason, they must still attend drill on the ships 05/06 OCT.
$10 needed for meals – Saturday Lunch & Dinner and Sunday Breakfast.
Cadets will need the following:
Sleeping bag & Pillow – they may also bring a sleeping mat – NO COTS/AIR MATTRESSES
Uniform will be BDU if they have them if not NWU’s
Hygiene supplies – brush/comb toothbrush & toothpaste, deodorant.
Military style flash light if they have it, if not a regular one will do.

Veterans Day November 11th
We understand that for some parents you may not be able to bring your child to this event. We are asking that if your child can ride with another cadet to get there please do so. We are looking to have as many of us there as possible to support our veterans.
